Here's a weird problem.
I just got a new hard drive and decided to use the onboard ATA133. I have a Gigabyte GA-8INXP by the way.
With the drive still connected to IDE1 I installed the Promised ATA133 drivers in WinXP SP2 then shut down and plugged the drive into the green IDE3 connector...
I disconnected everything from the board except for video, cpu and one stick of RAM and she booted normally. Then I added everything back one item at a time until I was back at my original configuration and it now works. Go figure!

Everything that's supposed to be disabled in the bios is disabled. I've had this board for about a year and this problem came out of nowhere today.
