I have a new PC with a Maximus XI Hero motherboard (which has two M.2 slots), and two 2TB M.2 NVMe SSDs (one by PNY, one XPG Gammix).
Sometimes, one of the SSDs (so far it's been the XPG sitting on the northern slot) is not recognized. Not by BIOS, not by Windows Disk Management.
When this...
Hi.
I'm considering getting a Phanteks Eclipse P300A (http://www.phanteks.com/Eclipse-P300A.html) for my next build.
One thing I'm concerned about - I do intend to populate the 2 bottom trays with 3.5" HDDs. However, it seems there is no fan sending air in their direction, leading to...
Thanks for replies.
How would this be diagnosed and fixed?
ESET NOD32 AV, default Windows 7 Firewall.
When this happens I can't log in to the router admin panel, so this rules out any relation to the ISP.
Update: I finally managed to acquire and test a PCIe expansion NIC. Same problem - after 2 days of uptime, the network connection stops working correctly.
So it doesn't seem to be a hardware problem (or, if it is, it is a very weird problem).
So that leaves software... But I'm having a hard...
I don't think it's overheating per se - it happens when the machine is in a cool environment without much load. But I can't rule out the possibility that the problem started due to permanent damage caused by an instance of overheating.
I'll try updating drivers, though I can't say I'm very...
Hi all, I hope you can help with a weird connection problem I'm having lately.
Basically, everything is working fine until suddenly the internet connection stops working. Most notably, I can't go to any websites (on either Firefox or Chrome).
The only way I can resolve it is by restarting...
I have a 144Hz ASUS monitor we should in principle support 3D, with the appropriate glasses and drivers.
I'm interested in making this happen, but doing a bit of research it seems this field has been frozen for several years. Nvidia hasn't made new versions of its 3D Vision glasses, and the...
Yes.
There is. It's been working with no problem with it enabled; when the problem started I tried disabling it but it didn't help. Now it's enabled again.
I can try that.
Yes.
I have a Thermaltake Max4 3.5" SATA HDD Rack, an internal docking station which sits in a 5.25" bay, plugs into a SATA port, and allows hot-plugging a SATA 3.5" drive loaded from outside.
I've used it for a while without problems, but now it ceased to be recognized in Windows 7. I've tried it...
In Windows XP, I had multiple icons of the same shortcut appear on my desktop. Trying to delete them gives error messages.
Where can I learn more about this phenomenon? Thanks.
