Im trying to get xigmatek s1283 from newegg. But I see tons of complains on how the

I am getting WD 500gb harddrive along with win vista 64bit
I know that win vista takes at least 15 gb so I am thinking about
dividing the drive into two partitions ( 100gb / 400 gb )
So 100 GB segment will have Windows Vista 64 bit with all other system files
and remaining 400 GB...
Someone recommends the method of manual spreading.
Like manually spreading the TIM with tool such as razor blade.

answer can be kinda subjective since the price cut of gtx200 series.
Id definately go for 4870 if Nvidia retained their original price.
Now that 280 is coming down to $399, along with physx support,( 260 almost as same as 4970 )
I am re-considering my original plan of buying 4870...
