Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I had a G400 and it had multiple inputs on the back, but it was so you could use the same monitor on two computers, not to run dual monitors. For dual monitors you have to have 2 outputs on your video card, and it sounds like you have a DVI output on your 4200...
I know Philips LCDs are not as highly regarded as Samsung's, but check out this review:
Philips 180P2 Review at OnePC.net
I read the review and it seems decent to me especially with all the inputs and what not, except I definitely don't need that multimedia base. I play quite a bit of games...
I don't know whether or not this has any effect on the problem you're having, but a refresh rate of 85Hz seems a little high to me at that resolution, especially with a Voodoo3. My Ti4400 can only do 75Hz at 1600x1200.
btw, I have the same monitor :)
I have a 75GXP, yes I know, problems from the beginning, but I don't think this is the drive because the light stays on without the drive attached, IDE or Power. I've been having some power supply issues as well, could this be related? Can anyone give any suggestions? Thanks alot :(
I've read a few places that a 300W PS isn't enough juice for a geforce 4?
I plan on ordering a leadtek 4400 in the next week or so, and am curious if it will give me problems.
Anyone care to share their advice or experiences? Thanks. :)
