Not likely. More likely is that thry would just keep coming up with new copy protect technology and ways to foil "pirates," and add the costs of R&D for these things to the price of their product.

Their webpage is very clear that you will not be charged anything if you do not return the webplayer. You are no longer bound by the terms of the agreement, and the player is yours to keep for free now. I am truly bummed out by the fact that I have been using the access for nearly a year now...
