I haven't been interested in MMOs since the Final Fantasy XI days. Those were the glory days for me. I've tried some of the new one but those that do interest me tend to follow a Eastern MMO model and those never bode well for me. I hate cash shops, I will gladly subscribe for a balance game...
I've never personally owned a iPhone but I wouldn't give them a chance at this rate either. I hate how their ecosystem is and honestly I'm much more devoted to my Android ecosystem as well now. To make me switch to Apple would be near impossible but I definitely recommend them to the right...
Very interesting, but I've never kickstarted a game and don't plan to anytime soon. It's not that I don't want to support smaller companies and etc. but I feel like I need a product first before they start asking for money. And the pledge has to be worth while. They need to give me like alpha...
I went from LastPass to Avast Password. I chose it because I already had their Free Security Suite and they allowed Avast Password on both my PC and Android Device. So i tried them out. Migration was a pain in the neck though since Avast Password on migrates from saved passwords in your browser...
I was super hyped for the phone when they announced it. Always wanted a OPO but never got a invite so ended up sticking with my HTC One until now. The invite reservation list I can deal with. I was placed around 10k when I signed up at launch but they've pushed me all the way back to 100k now...
If you followed the instructions on the site you should have set your ASUS router to a different IP. In order to access the ASUS router you'll need to log on to the IP you specified for it.
Well as of the moment, I have about 7 devices connected at all time. Maybe 5 of them will use my 50mbps connection I have with Comcast. Every now and then I experience a slow down with buffering HD stuff but it's not too bad. I don't blame the router. I blame my internet.
I would test it again with your new speeds just to see. If you're still getting the similar speed to your connection via wire then both routers look good. If not, your buffalo may be limiting it. It depends on what bands the buffalo has at that point.
When routers are talking about dual...
I wouldn't recommend buying that AC2400 router just because it doesn't sound like you'll fully utilize it.
Even if you were streaming lossless blu-ray rips you shouldn't be congesting your network. Now if every device was doing that you'll have something else to worry about.
I agree with...
Are you keen on using DD-WRT with the router? If not. You could probably just use the TP-Link WR841N as a client bridge. It isn't too difficult to set up.
Only reason I say that is I tried using DD-WRT with the WR841N and kept dropping packets, only time it worked well was in client mode which...
Update to my situation:
Opted out of power line adapters in lieu of something cheaper, maybe better? I don't really know. As of right now its just a experiment.
Since the power line adapter was a no go, I decided to dig some more into a solution. Didn't want to default to using USB Adapters...
Ahh I wish I had a basement. But sadly we don't believe in them in my neighborhood. XD
I suspected that it might give me problems and probably wouldn't be the most reliable especially with the amount of usage I would put it through because of the router. Might just have to mount my router and...
The Dilemma:
Right now I'm trying to reroute my router to another room in the house. The easiest method would be to relocate my coax or install another one to the room I want the router to be in. Need to get the expensive equipment away from kids.
The Problem:
The coax is currently in my...
Ahh I see then. That's good to know now. Thanks for helping me out so far guys. Should I get a new router or should I stick with the current one that I have? It's not the worst speeds at times but if I could get better download speeds It would be much appreciated.
