I kind of need someone to help me out with a problem and it would just be easier to talk that way. tysm in advance
Yeah I know that is an unfortunate reality, but PSUs seem to have a higher lifespan especially at that amount of wattage.
Thanks for the insight though.
Two HD4870X2s, DFI Lan Party X48, a Q6600, 2x2GB RAM, 2 640GB HDDs, and a PCI sound card?
Also, would it be future proof (I know no one is completely sure, but you may have an idea) for an extreme processor (Nehalem Bloomsfield) and DDR3 RAM?
I may have had a bad experience but...
Dell has had the worst technical support/customer support ever. We had paid for a 4 year warranty with on-site support. They basically, instead of sending out a technician, told me to rebuild my computer in order to "fix" a problem with the noise. Ends up...
The absolute best parts currently available:
Dual LGA 771 Skulltrail motherboard or 790i
DDR3-2000 RAM (not sure if Skulltrail mobo supports up to DDR2-800, but 790i does support DDR3)
9800GX2 (but the GTX 280 comes out extremely soon)
QX9775 (x2) (Skulltrail) or QX9770 (for 790i)
Not sure...
Also, if you are basing it off mine, remember you do not need to buy a case like that. I only selected that one because my friend likes it, and it is a full tower with some added features such as a removable motherboard tray. All these features obviously are not necessary, so feel free to choose...
There are a ton of choices, and they're all so close to one another. Some have better timings, but I've heard some problems about voltage with some of them, so I'm sorta confused as to which I should buy now :|

^ This is true :). However, I read that the Xigmatek's thermal paste isn't very good and may be corrosive to copper >_> (at least someone on newegg stated that.) May or may not be true, but I'd avoid any risks.

O_o
and btw on the Dell, expect some horrible customer support =\. Plus, you're not even adding in the taxes- that will be a significant amount of money on a purchase like that, so just be aware of it if you decide to go with that Dell.
