Late hit, but my 6850K running at 4.5ghz with 32GB of 3200mhz DDR4 on an EVGA FTW K, 1080 Ti is still a superior gaming maching to anything AMD can do.
Yes this is true. The GPU doing PhysX has to context switch from rendering to PhysX then back again per each frame. To maintain synchronization the other GPU must wait. While you will likely still have higher frame rates, the performance hit, percentage wise running PhysX is generally higher...
