I am looking for the following items if anyone happens to have them and have no use for them: 1)earphones that come included with HP laptops 2)SODIMM SDRAM (a big stretch, but if someone's nice....:)) Thanks in advance.

I thought that might have been the case, but I've never noticed it do that before. The card seems to be working perfectly fine, I just don't want to experience problems further down the road that I did not knoow about (don't really know what could go wrong though).

What if I wanted to mimick a livecd and copy its contents over to the USB drive and tried to boot into a directory of the drive? Would that be possible? How would I be able to point to the linux live cd portion of the directories?

I was thinking of that but I would rather but use up all of the space on the usb drive simply for the installation. I would rather just install from it like a cdrw or a bootdisc. I can just as well burn it to a cdrw, but this seems a lot geekier, heh.

Well I recently purchased a 4gb usb drive and love it. Can stuff miscelleneous junk on there and bring it along with me. The only thing I don't/didn't like about it is that I couldn't boot from it. I however fixed that with the HP usb drive formatting/boot "trick" and now the drive is able to...

WOW. I'm an idiot. I am almost certain I know what it is. I hooked up the heatsink to the cpu fan socket, but forgot to connect it to the psu. I guess if that's not it, I'll be back tomorrow. I really hope that I didn't burn the cpu.

The power supply worked properly before I RMAd the mobo, as did the ram. I tried running the ram with just one stick of OCZ and that did the same thing. I was folling around in the bios and just upped the ram to see if anything would happen and for some reason the computer starting beeping like...
