hey guys,
im planning to assemble my computer this weekend but had a question..i think my cpu (AMD 1055T) comes with a thermal pad already in place on the heatsink? do i need to still apply thermal paste to it? i read on wiki..you either use the thermal pad or the thermal paste..not both. thanks.
hey guys,
i just got a sony dvd drive and it was making this weird sound when i tilt it side to side..so i tried to plug it into my power supply to open the drive (plugged psu into wall then power connector to drive, no mobo) but nothing happens when i plug it in....tried presing the eject...
is the wd black for sale in the deals section or for sale? i was considering the 500gb cause im pretty sure i wont use that much space...im currently using a laptop with 40gb and an external hard drive with 160gb which is totally good for me but i appreciate the advice

which would you guys recommend? thanks
thanks for all the suggestions guys...i ended up kinda splurging and went with the 1055t/msi 890gxm-g65 combo at frys...i couldnt pass it up at that price
if you want you could return it and get the same one from frys for $45 after rebate..out of stock online but should be available in store

man all these combos..i have no idea what to do..either save money and get the i3/630 combo or spend a little more to get the 640 but with the chance to upgrade to bulldozer later..decisions decisions
i was pretty set on getting the 640 but this deal just popped up and is pretty tempting..it ends today though

what do you guys think?
thanks for the help russian..i do have a microcenter near me and that i7 does look mighty tempting...do you think the i7's increase in performance justifies about double the price of the i3/640?
hey guys,
im planning to build a computer within the next month or so. Would you recommend the i3 or the (soon to be released) athlon 640. I just read that the i3 is better for gaming but the 640 is better for everyday tasks. I'm torn between the two right now. Thanks.
