Dude Shut Up!! What are you a pussy? Unwise! lol Pussy! What is going to happpen am i going to get banned from Anand's forum.. Who cares!
What are you Nick Burns? I hate people like you!
This conversation is boring just like your existance.
As far as what I typed in the thread, it...
not on that board, but the logic is the same, I have ran Veritas on many various arrays and encapsulated root drives in a 12xRAID-0. And yes it is fast! I have nothing to prove to you!
You can find a eval version of Veritas for Win2000 from kazaa, bit torrent and the like.
I don't mind...
extremely unwise? Veritas Volume Manager will do it with out an issue. Nothing wrong with software raid.
Did I say it was 1 controller?
Get over yourself punk!
I would use the Nvidia controller, the nForce4 made some advances in SATA controller. To what end you will need to goto nVidia's site and check them out. The nVidia NIC is better too, it reduces usage of the CPU for network.

All this for only $6000.00
Some of you guys need to be on high blood pressure medicine.. Why be so hateful.
As far as gettting a dual CPU system. Besides Doom3 and Quake what uses Dual CPU or multi-thread.
I know databases, CAD, veryfew games. But anyway dual core will be developed support for in the upcomming...
Check this out.

Also I bought my U320 2 years ago. Getting ready for the new SATA drive technololgy. I hear it runs at 1.5GBps
Sure you will , things (games) will stay residant in memory longer which causes shorter load times, the system will overall perform better.
Hes just razzing ya cause the RAM choise is enthusiast level where the video card is not.
Here is a copy paste from other my responce to this question!
RAID-0 with 2 drives on a crappy motherboard controller with no cache memory is a waste. I agree.
You need more than 2 spindles to get a real advantage and a controller with some cache onboard to cache the RAID.
For SATA...
This is easy!
for SCSI U320 Adaptec 2200S Dual Channel should take care of you.
for SATA RAIDCore controller is the only way to go. Benches showed to be faster that U320 SCSI. (of course I need to see it to beleive it)
I love my SCSI Solution, i did the research before dropping the $1600
Hey guys,
Something on RAID!!
RAID-0 with 2 drives on a crappy motherboard controller with no cache memory is a waste. I agree.
You need more than 2 spindles to get a real advantage and a controller with some cache onboard to cache the RAID.
For SATA you need a 3ware or raidcore...
