What would be the deciding factor for you to acquire and Intel or Amd.

I presume you were replying to my post? Hmm... is there a need for an AMD supporter to attack another AMD supporter with words like "Stop trying to spread Fud dude" ??? cool dude... It appears that your AMD journey has been lots smoother than mine so I'll reserve the comments I made to...

What would be the deciding factor for you to acquire and Intel or Amd.

hmm... i didnt mention AMD as the better machine... and i wld totally agree with anyone who says that Intel CPUs are faster at any CPU era... well...I'm not so well to do, thus budget and value-for-$ is on top of my priority when i decide to upgrade CPU + mobo. I last upgraded in Dec 07...

    LG L227WTG - backlight bleed

After reading the review at tftcentral.com, I tuned my settings to the following: Brightness: 45 Contrast: 50 Gamma: 0 Color R: 38, G:40, B:48 (i tuned RGB seperately - ie. did not use preset 6500k - 9300k) Sharpness: 5 f-engine: Normal Result after tuning had great improvement on...

What would be the deciding factor for you to acquire and Intel or Amd.

I have been on AMD since day 1 I know how to DIY a PC. :) K5, K6, K6-2, K6-III, Slot-A Athlon, Socket-A Athlon aka TBird, Athlon MP, Athlon XP, X2. For me I tend not to choose the latest and most highend product at the point-in-time when I've decided to upgrade my cpu & mobo. It boils...

    LG L227WTG - backlight bleed

I have the L227WTG. Currently set brightness: 45 and contrast: 50. Very minor backlight problem bleeding at bottom of screen. Other than this, all is good. In fact i'm very impressed with the colors produced by this LCD, being a TN panel.

Good inexpensive HSF for AMD 5000 Black Edition?

I installed it with dual fan config from day 1 I got hold of it so I wouldnt know how much lower temp it dropped... but I would think it would definitely help cos of the push/pull config that moves hot air away from the HS more effectively. :)

Good inexpensive HSF for AMD 5000 Black Edition?

I'm using this --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16835101014 In push & pull dual fan config now and it brought my stock x2 4400+ from 45C to 36C idle. I o/c it to 2806Mhz @ 1.35v and idle temp at 37C, full load at 43C. :)

Quick and dirty A64 clocking guide **UPDATE** X2 OC information!

    mine's a amd X2 setup. Sorry I didnt specifically mention but I tot the ram speed calculation differs betwn intel & amd? anyway, now i got my rig running 244fsb x 11.5mult = 2806mhz @ 1.35v, ram speed 802Mhz, timing 5-5-5-12T @ 1.8V. :)

Quick and dirty A64 clocking guide **UPDATE** X2 OC information!

    Guys, will there be a diff in performance for the below 2 overclocking methods? 1) 230fsb x 11.5mult = 2645Mhz, mem divider set to 7 so ram speed is effectively 2645 / 7 = 377Mhz (754Mhz DDR) vs. 2) 230fsb x 11.5mult = 2645Mhz, mem divider set to 6 so ram speed is effectively 2645 / 6 =...

    G.Skill or Corsair??

I'll vote for Corsair cos I've had very good warranty support from them. :) BTW, I have a new pair of DDR2-800mhz Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 (none C3 or C4 version) running in dual channel mode on my MSI K9N Ultra. The rams are rated 5-5-5-12 @ 1.9V at 800mhz. Like to ask if they shld be...

Quick and dirty A64 clocking guide **UPDATE** X2 OC information!

    when you change the ram speed to 667mhz, the divider will be changed from 6(800mhz) to 7(667mhz). Example below: Your current CPU speed: 235FSB x 11mult = 2585Mhz Your current RAM speed: 2585Mhz / 6(800Mhz) = 430Mhz (430 x 2 = 860Mhz RAM speed) Proposed RAM speed: 2585Mhz / 7(667Mhz) =...
