I had this issue when I updated to cat 11.2. Sometimes reboot other times hard hang and I would need to switch PC off first. I was pretty sure my PC was dying (CPU is overclocked for last 4 years) Problem was it wouldn't happen when I ran stress test like Prime.
A rollback to the previous...
Hi all,
I essentially need a second instance of the OS on which I can install various applications for testing purposes and I don't want to mess with my primary install.
Is it legal to dual boot or run a virtual machine with the same license of the OS?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try using RadeonPro to set individual profiles. I've not had a chance to test with the new drivers (last I installed was 10.4 ) but I don't imagine there will be issues.

That is of course only useful if you always want scaling enable.

Some people have issues with Catalyst AI although I've never come across any myself.
I only upgrade my drivers every 3 months or so but have yet to have any driver issues with my HD5850. In fact I can't recall the last time I had a show stopping bug with either nVidia or ATI.
No problems running a HD5850 on Win7 64bit.
I don't recall ever having issues with sleep and video with Vista and Win 7. My sound card on the other hand did not like when I was on Vista.
I always thought that the BIOS would override any driver specific fan settings if the GPU got too hot. On my previous card this seemed to be the case when setting a manual fan speed ...
