A few things...
1. check you heatsink. My temps went from 50C max to 55C and it was simply that the top of the heatsink was clogged with dust.
2. Feel the heatsink when it reads that temp., it should be stinkin hot. If not, could be an error in the thermo.
Just a quick word to anyone buying...
I just bought a few 1700+ from newegg and they are AGOGAs. Both hit 1705 with retail cooling. Not too shabby for $80.
voltage - 1.8v
Not too shabby, my delivered cost is over $70 with tax, but still a good deal.
Alternatively, one can go to Newegg.com and get an asus 40x for $69 shipped.
Just finished a 3,300 page job with this printer (don't ask). I love it. Best laser I have owned. The printer has printed over 20,000 pages and I have the 30th and the 19,785th page and they look damn close. Love it I say.
ANother warning: After preparing a loa dof boxes to be shipped out Monday, I mistakenly Printed the stamps on SUNDAY. Silly me, 3 months later, I got the refund. Translation: You have to print and mail for priority the same day and you can't print on Sunday. Same crap with cancellation. In the...

Am considering buying a system for a relatvie from Newegg parts. I currently use the EVERCASE E4252WEF5 for myself, but replaced the 300 watter with a quiet enermax whisper PS. Anyone using the stock PS with an AMD chip? I'll use it for a 1700+ and only the HD and CDRW.
