I can confirm that I picked up the 830 128GB model when it was on sale several months ago. I have certainly become a believer in SSDs since then. I use it as a boot drive with a striped volume as an application drive and a 2TB drive as an archive drive.
I picked it up the other day from Amazon. I never played any of the XCom series, but I enjoy the squad based tactical genre. Definitely worth picking up if you also enjoy the genre.
I found the ssd in my mail today. UPS sent it to the post office who then left it in my mailbox. The UPS tracking code from TigerDirect was oddly never used. I'll have to spend some time this weekend changing my main boxen around and installing the ssd.
I did give into the temptation and ordered one from Tiger Direct. This is supposedly already shipped via UPS though the tracking details are being slow to update. I'm guessing it will probably ship from the big warehouse outside of Chicago, otherwise I assume anything on the east coast is slowed...
As an anecdotal point, I bought a PSP 3000 from the Amazon warehouse seller which was listed as like new. It looked like someone had touched it all of once and it works without issue.
From looking at the pictures on Newegg, this looks very very similar to the Antec 300 that I have with a few updates. The Illusion appears to be slightly smaller and slightly longer as well as about 5 pounds lighter. Newegg also lists it as having a 1 year warranty versus a 3 year warranty on...
Thats fairly tempting. Its in my price range and plenty of storage space for an OS drive. Anyone know if there would be some form of performance hit running this, a sata 6 drive on a sata 3 port?
Even though the deals were for yesterday, they don't seem to be ending for another 8 hours or so.
I highly recommend Legend of Grimrock, I actually picked it up as a preorder after reading a few interesting reviews and I have no regret from that purchase. I need to spend some time looking at...
I like mine a lot, with the CyanogenMod port of Android 4 its a very usable device. That being said, with things like the Kindle Fire out at $200 as a standard price, I wouldn't recommend rushing out to buy one of these at $200 as a refurbished model.
I'd be all over this if I didn't already have the games. If anyone has interest, I fully support buying this. I've spent so many good hours with these games.
I'm not crazy about a new Baldur's Gate game though. Some things just shouldn't be touched if they aren't done right and I really...
I'd definitely recommend this video card. I grabbed one the first time they went on sale and haven't had any issues. Note that it requires 2 x 6 pin pci express power adapters from your power supply. With a decent i3, I imagine you could play a lot of games at fairly high quality. The most I've...
