    dell axim 300mhz $192

You can customize these too, unlike last week's $275 deal. My total is currently $280.84 shipped w/ tax for the 400 Mhz model. (the 15% off shows up after it's in your cart.) Any opinions on the foldable keyboard? How's the quality? It's $79 when you get the Axim, or $99 later; seems steep...

Has anyone ever painted a TDK Velocd Drive?

<bump> Also wondering about this. I've got a TDV VeloCD too, putting it in one of the bronze Antec cases this weekend. I've been thinking of either painting it or trying to find an aluminum bezel (like those Compusa sells) to stick over it...

SLK-800 vs. PAL8045 (Not so much coolingwise..)

Are you using a shim? Buy a CPU shim for $5-10, it goes between the CPU and HSF, will reduce your chances of cracking the CPU greatly...

Free benchmarking SW to choose bet. P3-550 and D750?

Yep, thanks, Sandra did the trick, and yes, the Duron is faster. For those interested, it's about 39% faster, a few % more than the raw Mhz difference (although float performance was only 24% better). The int mem throughput, even with identical PC133 memory, was impressive at 87% (only 11%...

Free benchmarking SW to choose bet. P3-550 and D750?

I just built a new computer for the office here, ECS K7S5A with Duron 750. I'm currently using a Soyo 6BA+IV with a Pentium III-550 in it (old slot 1 model). The other person who needs the computer does typical Word/Outlook/Excel work, while I do graphics, web programming, and generally use...

Logitech Optical kb and Mouse Battery Question!

I've got the freedom Pro. The batteries last long enough that I don't remember how long they last. :) I bought an 8 pack of AAAs nearly a year ago, and still have two left, haing just replaced them a couple of weeks ago. So I'd say Logitech's estimate is pretty accurate. I use the box about...

New ECS K7S5A in reboot loop

An update. It seems my problem might be a buggy power supply. While I said I had disconnected the drives, I had only yanked the IDE cable, the power was still going to the drives. I'm able to get it to sometimes boot and begin loading Windows with just the hard drive, floppy, and DVD (no CDRW...

New ECS K7S5A in reboot loop

I have a new ECS K7S5a motherboard, Duron 750, and Enlight 300W power supply. Just put it together, on boot up, it gets past CMOS POST, polls all the drives and identifies them, and then reboots. Over and over. I disconnected all drives, same thing. Swapped the ATI Xpert 2000 Pro AGP card...

    Inexpensive CD-ROM that plays vertically?

I'm looking for a CD-ROM, preferrably cheap, that can load and play vertically/on it's side. Why? We have mini-towers, and it would be nice to put them sideways underneath the desk drawer hutch. The desktop cases I've checked out (Inwin H500, Enlight 7200, AOPen HX95) all had only 250W PS...

Good East Coast Dealers: Any Recs?

Well, I figured this was the closest to reviews of dealers. Where should it have gone, in the General forum? For Sale/Wanted? Can the moderator move this for us?

Good East Coast Dealers: Any Recs?

I've bought from MWave and NewEgg in the past. But they're in California, I'm in Maryland, leading to higher shipping costs (esp. on monitors) and a week or more to deliver. Can anyone recommend a good online dealer with East Coast/Mid-Atlantic warehouses? I'm looking for good prices, fair...
