I think that I am in the same boat as the OP, but I am in about the $1500, so my question: how well does the a8n32 overclock? Would DFI SLI-DR be a better choice? Also can I buy a 165 and be pretty sure that I can oc it easily to about 2.5ghz

All I did to get my 2.4ghz is I bought the G.Skill DDR500 ram and just upped the fsb to 240 and I got a nice little OC. It is also on stock vcore and cooling!

i also have another problem i sold my ram to buy 2x 1gb but when i had the ram, i could not break 220mhz, when i tried with clockgen, windows would freeze, and when i tried to boot from the bios as 220mhz, it would not boot to windows. this is what i did and it wouldnt boot to windows HT...

well im not sure but i think that the dfi ultra-d should be able to go to that and more, because it supposed to be an overclockers dream and do you think that my x2 3800 could get about to 2.5ghz on stock cooling and stock vcore? and lets just say, that if for some reason i cant break 220mhz...

ok i have been doing some research, and i think that i understand how to overclock my rig so i think that i will be going for the first link that you posted, unless anyone says otherwise :)

hey guys, im looking for some ram i what 2x 1gb sticks and i would like good timings i do not plan to overclock much i have been looking at these sticks http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820231047 what do you think of them? should i buy them, or look into something else...

ok that what i was thinking, one person said that if i get another gig which will make 4x 512 i will have to run at 2T and 166mhz is this true? and the gold ram is only $2 more
