Ping packet loss while browsing - is this normal

The Huawei is the main one - the one that is connected via fiber optics to the wall. I tried connecting directly to it via LAN (original setup) and it worked just the same. In the meantime I've put a Pirelli one (can't find the model number anywhere, but I used to use it before and it worked...

Ping packet loss while browsing - is this normal

Thanks for the quick reply. Browsing heavily, I mean I was trying to stress the connection to see if I can really reproduce the problem or is it just my imagination. I was not doing single file transfer, but rather simulating heavy network load by opening lots (~30) tabs simultaneously or...

Ping packet loss while browsing - is this normal

Hi experts, I am having problems with my network after upgrading from cable to optic fiber. In an effort to troubleshoot the problems, I did a bunch of things. Before submitting the case to my ISP, I would like to know the following: This is on LAN: I don't get any packet loss when not...

Can ping adress via command line, but can not access from browsers

Thanks John, it's working now! What did help was the 1st link, I could have sworn I executed the command netsh winsock reset catalog earlier when I was troubleshooting it before posting here. So, both commands are necessary in my case.

Can ping adress via command line, but can not access from browsers

Hi Savatar, thanks for the reply. DNS resolution is working 100%, otherwise I would not be able to browse the internet with Opera (I also have other PCs on the network and they work fine), so we can rule that out. I did check the browser-specific proxy on Chrome, and there's none set...

Can ping adress via command line, but can not access from browsers

Hi, I have a major problem. Seems that I can ping any site from command line, eg. ping 8.8.8.8 and ping www.anandtech.com and that works, but browsers can't connect to the internet. To be more precise, Chrome, IE and Firefox can't, but Opera 12 somehow can. I've tried a couple of other...

    External Hard drive connection problem

Hello, I have ASUS Transformer Book Trio, TX201L laptop and I'm having trouble connecting my external drive 500GB Seagate. HD has USB 3.0 and laptop has 2 USB 3.0 ports. When I connected the drive first time directly, I'm sure it got recognised. Later plugging it in that port did nothing...

    Can not enable WiFI card

I have a problem though. This thing just got disabled again. The only idea what could it be is something that has to with hybernation - I put it in hybernation both times. Well, I just bought this piece of garbage a month ago... was looking forward to it lasting a few years or so. Don't need...

    Can not enable WiFI card

Hi Harv, yes, I did check out user manual did basic google search. What they call "Enabling WiFi" is selecting a network from the list of available networks and has nothing to do with enabling the device in the system, which is what I described. Fortunately but strangely, the thing just worked...

    Can not enable WiFI card

Hello everyone, a few weeks ago a bought ASUS Transformer Book Trio, TX201L. It worked fine until today - I woke it up from sleep and saw the wireless card is disabled. The option in settings -> Change PC Settings -> Wireless is grayed out. I run troubleshoot and it says I should enable...
