yea that sounds like an explanation. but the radeon hd3870x2 is suppose to be a PCIe 2.0 card. the interfacebetween the gpus are 1.1 though.

I just got my new true, but on a close examin it looks like the heatpipes are poorly soldered to the fins. could this really be or am i just paranoid?? there is a clearly visible ring of solder on 3 of the pipes and half once on 2 and the rest looks unsoldered. some pics on it...

i´ve made up my mind, im going with the x2 cause first the price wasn´t $620 its $540, almost half the price of a gx2. second it runs cooler and clocks better, but most important when summer arrives i can run it in crossfirex4 with an r700 andit will crush the gx2 like a 500ton steel press :D...
