    IC7-MAX3: Can't install i875 chipset drivers

"I installed Win XP, then the chipset inf file, then I tried the intel application accelerator raid edition, but it could not detect it." I had this problem with my IC7-G 2 version. I noted that if I did not have the BIOS set to RAID in the intel chipset Raid, that the OS would detect that it...

    *** Official ABIT IC7/G (875P) Thread ***

This week I was at a computer show and noted that the ASUS NB coolers looked that would fit (clip right on) on the Abit Board IC7. The ASUS NB coolers are larger that ABIT's and do not use a fan. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it would fit with a Z-7000 CPU cooler on a ABIT IC7-G...

Ramses: Any chance that the NB fan would not be needed with the new heatsink if you are using a Zalman CPU cooler? The Zalman seems to put a fair brease around the NB anyway. I only do minor overclocking, I suppect for large overclockers it would be an issue. By the by does the new setup...

Just put a IC7-G system together. What a dream. Built several systems for wife and others and it was my turn now. I ungraded from a Win-95 system to this 2.8 P4 system with Win XP-pro. I have been following the thread and it has helped me a great deal. I am running the system off a parallel...

IC7-G Sound drivers and Apps from Abit. Hi All: I think this is a silly question but I have not been able to find the answer. There are 2 software downloads for the sound on the IC7-G Board. 1) WDM-a345.exe which seems to be drivers only and ap_a345.exe which seems to be the realtek media...

    *** Official ABIT IC7/G (875P) Thread ***

Just Got my IC7-G from NewEgg last night. It had rubber bands around the ram clips and all seemed well. I did note 2 things that made me a little curious. The Box was not sealed in plastic and the plastic around the Board was not sealed. I also noted the wire leads for the chip set cooler...

I was thinking the same thing. But does anyone have any comments on how noisy that NB fan is? Gmoss

    Intel CPU bent/broken pin RMA?!

I had a 2.26 P4 that never worked. After looking at it I found one of the pins was shouter that the other pins, which I suppect was not long enough to make contact. I was able to RMA it directly back to Intel, no problem. Gary

What the HEY! Where's my GRANITE BAY!?! (Gigabyte GA-8INXP, Asus P4G8X)

Let us know how the Swiftech works out. Also from other posts, why 4 ram sticks the same ram for dual mode. Why not 2 pairs the same? I understand this board also supports reg. ram which I am thinking of goint to on this box. Gary

Win XP Pro and large hard drives, over 133 Meg

I am looking at getting one of the Motherboards with a promise ATA 133 raid chips on board. I thought that all I needed to do was hook up a hard drive, over 133 Meg, in my case 200Meg. But this reference (see below) on the Microsoft page about XP seems to say different. Has anybody done this...

    The Granite Bay Wars: Asus P4G8X v. Gigabyte GA-8INXP v. Tyan S2662 v. AOpen AX4R Plus v. MSI GNB Max-FISR (MS-6565)

Thanks for the reply. Have always used Abit, like the more features of the highpoint Raid. GB users group always seemed to be less than Abit or Asus, but I like this GB board. I have built machines for my Mom and mother of late and I am using a old machine. Just can not wait for summer for...
