Why do so many posters say this "destroys" that? Right now the RTX 4090 "destroys" all other released cards because it is in a different class and costs so much. The Nvidia RTX 3070 and AMD 6800 are close, thus my comment on your type of monitor.

Shmee, I went Uber big with a Samsung 49" C49RG90SS. I use it for MSFS2020. With the GPU horsepower you now have, what about a bigger monitor?

SaltyNuts, I guess it depends on what you are using your monitor for. My Samsung C49RG90SS is used for MSFS2020. I have a Flight Velocity Instrument Panel in front of it so I have the monitor sitting on a stand High enough to clear the top of the instrument panel. It is GREAT for a wide view...

Dr. Lisa Su has instilled a sense of keeping your mouth shut until you have parts that work. AMD has been very quiet during the Alder Lake presentation. I think they have an answer waiting in the wings but want to make sure it works.

aigomorla, can I be your brother?:D Just joking. I see that AMD 5900xs are finally starting to be more plentiful so perhaps there is a ray of hope that supply chains and production are ramping up. The problem with gpus is there appears to be no end in sight.

With Covid-19 and the supply chain dislocations, it is really hard to predict any release dates that works. I was able to snag a 5900x for a slight premium shortly after release and have been very happy with it. I think AMD is playing it smart to have the Zen3s with bumped up cache available...

CP5670, you are correct about the vertical heigth of the Samsung G9. I just got one. BUT for MSFS2020 it is magnificent. The field of view when flying is terrific. Arkaigns comments are spot on. It's sad that many posters are not able to walk into a Microcenter to see the actual monitors.

SaltyNuts, did you see the 49" monitors in person? The reason I ask is I just replaced my BenQ 3501R with a Samsung C49RG90SS monitor because I have a MSFS2020 setup. The BenQ vertical screen heighth is about the same as the Samsung 49" BUT the immersion factor makes the Samsung "feel" bigger...
