i just picked up the PC gamer today, installing it now. They require a CC for verication but it says that unless u buy the retail version the CC will not be charged. Also, I noticed that Bestbuy has the retail version for 39.99 this week. From the Account Management Page

yeah, i agree with Ultramags, my amd 1.4 worked great with nvidia GF TI4200. I'd recommend going to newegg's site and either getting a nivida card, or a radeon 9700 pro which are still great cards for the price. But, If your HD died, how are you going to play games? I'd replace that first...
