i have a laptop and i need a second drive..thats why... is it better to just go for an external USB drive?..or buy an IDE drive and get an enclosure for the same..coz the latter is cheaper and i can also get a drive with an 8 MB cache. Thanks.

Im Planning to use an internal IDE Hard Drive as an external one with an enclosure. Could somebody please give me some info on if what im doing is ok or not?... Is it better to have this setup or just go for an external hard drive...coz the prices and also the speeds of the external drives...
