The battery is not playing a role here ... i can not boot this thing with or without the battery. If, assuming, the BIOS is fine and the battery is dead, the computer would boot up and complain about CMOS checksum error and I would have to enter BIOS settings every time I turn the computer on...

I got an Abit BH6 with celeron 300 a few days ago and I am trying to make it work smoothly. The computer is actually working great, the only problem is the BIOS (chip). The first thing I must do if I wan't to boot this thing is to reset CMOS data using the proper jumper. If i do not do that...
