Well, the modified flashrom worked... I'm back to 12 pipes and no artifacts! Here is what they say; "Several people have used a Gigabyte Bios and flashing tool to get around this, but for some reason you can not flash back to 12 pipelines with this method- if you have defective pipelines...

Ok, I'm going to try a modified "flashrom" that is on the same site you are linking to for bios here. They also have an "empty.bin" bios that suppose to remove all settings. Wish me luck!

Mega, that is the one I did use. Again to no effect... still 16 pipes & artifacts.

Serious problems with my Sapphire X800 Pro VIVO. I have the 1.6 memory and first overclocked the card to 520/560 and ran 3DMark to make sure it was stable at those speeds, no problems. I flashed with gvf11 as the flash program and r80x256v.f1 for the bios. I now have 16 pipes and more artifacts...
