Automated NAS backups to the cloud? What services to use with Synology NASes?

Are you still liking Crashplan? I've seen mixed reviews. At this point, I'm stuck between crashplan and carbonite http://www.cloudstorageboss.com/carbonite-review/ From what I can tell, carbonite has built in features specifically for nas backup. I don't really anticipate my nas...

    Restore MBP to Mac Mini?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do this using MA. You just need access to the drive where the Time Machine backup is stored on the Mini and then launch MA. The wizard will give you the option to transfer your information through the Time Machine backup. From there you'll be prompted to...

Anyone Else Excited About iOS 10?

I'm still on the 6 because I didn't really see the need for the 3D touch without it having many uses as of yet but OS 10 should really expand on that feature so I'm pretty excited to pair that with an iPhone 7 when it's released. Getting to be about that time where I'm itching for a new phone! :)

Dying for a new huge monitor

I'm waiting for dp 1.3, I just don't see any point in half-assing an upgrade at the moment. If you can hang on for a bit I think it'll be totally worthwhile.

Not sure if this will help but worth a shot. Enter the BIOS and switch the boot order so that the HDD isn't listed. Save the changes, reboot. You'll get a "missing OS" message but that's fine. Restart it and enter the BIOS again and reverse what you just did before and put the HDD back as the...

Apple Store hits another customer service home run

They honestly have some of the best customer service in the entire game. I've gone in there with a phone that I felt was running hot and walked out with a brand new one. Minimal questions asked, nothing really showed on the diagnostic they ran.. but they did feel the heat the phone was...

Is it worth buying a Macbook Pro?

Honestly, yes. I think it's worth it. I could be biased but the MacBook Pro 13" is one of the best tech purchases I've made in a long time. The retina display is worth the money itself and the difference between the Pro and the Air size-wise is honestly negligible. The battery life is excellent...

iPhone 6 battery dying. Need cheap Android phone on Verizon

A lot of those iphone battery issues have easy fixes. Try turning off push mail, location services, diagnostic / usage data, notifications, and similar background services that don't need to be on at all times. Doing this eliminated those random battery drops for no reason.
