Better or Best Heatsink / Fan

the 68C temps are also at a 9XCPU. If I crank up the fans all the way and use the 8XCPU I can cut my voltages down to 1.38 and keep temps down under 65C. That being said, I think I am moving a ton of air through the case, with ambient temps of 21C (about 70F). Remember I am intaking with (1)...

    Low 3DMark06 Scores

Well, true, I'm not expecting 15,000 or anything, but I was completely average for 8600 GTS 256. There is a large group performing at the 9,500 to 10,500 using the same card. I just wondered what they are doing different than me. Looking at their scores, my CPU test scores are all better than...

So I put the Nirvana in. I took the window out of my side panel and rotated it 180 degrees. Did some case mods to cut out the poor vent grills for the 120 mm exhaust fan, and twin 80 mm intakes in the front, and modded the side window fan from an 80mm to a 140 mm. Now I suck in cold from the...

    Low 3DMark06 Scores

    I have a Q6600 B3, with an 8600GTS 256M. While I don't game a ton, I was fiddling with 3DMark06 to see how I stack up. I can't get a score better than about 6,400. I am OC'd stable at 3.3G (8x412 or 9x366 both stable), Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 @ 1050 mHz at 5-5-5-12. It looks like I should...

Ya, sorry. 1.3265V Tuniq 120 looks OK, as does the Thermalright Ultra 120, but both will interfere with my side mount fan. The Nirvana saves me 12mm. Should just be able to squeeze in.

I have a Q6600 G0, with a Rosewill RCX-Z2-EX 92mm on a EVGA 680i. Right now I can OC up to 3.0 @3.265V, but my temps start going too high. I've cut back to 2.65 and am stable (with Ballistix DDR2 800 mHz at 1066 5/5/5/12 Mem), and with Prime95 my temps are at about 73 under load (48-50 idle)...

Spanking New Build - Please Check Me!!!

So I completed my build, and aside from some minor issues with cloning my old HDD, everything went great. A couple of questions. I have overclocked, and am currently stable on my Q6600 2.4G at 3.209G at 1.35V (9X 357, FSB ~1450), with my temps running steady at about 59-60C (72 F ambient)...

Spanking New Build - Please Check Me!!!

So I'm Plaidfro's buddy. He got most of it right. I have messed around with overclocking a little, but only to get familiar with it. Most of my software is running fine at stock speeds. My video editing and DVD rendering is by far and away the most resource consuming thing I do. I want a...
