EPOX K6-II 550 super socket 7

I have a question about the speed of the AGP slot for this motherboard. Im planning to buy a 64mb NVDIA Geforce4 agp. Will this work for my board? Because I was told that the AGP slot speed has to be 8x. I do not know if my motherboard can support it. Thanks in advance
