How does an X800 compare to a X800GTO? Are there any benchmark comparisonsbetween these two?
Is the X800 able to play games to a high resolution?
Thanks
Well, here in the UK the cheapest GTO is £115(~$200) which is my budget. Originally my budget was £100 (~$175).
The cheapest GTO2 is about £150 (~$265).
Here are some PCI-E cards I've been looking at and was hoping I could get some answers as to the best out these three for performance but stability and possibly overclocking although not the priority at the moment.

I live in the UK so prices here are probably not as good as in the US. For example the cheapest retail pack Venice 3000 CPU would cost £100 (~$176). OEM would be around £85 (~$150). Thus I thought it made more sense to get the Winchester as the slight extra speed would not be so much beneficial...
Thanks for the advice guys.
I was planning on upgrading my current system and to be honest I'm on a very tight budget but trying to get the most from it.
My current specs are: AMD Athlon 900mhz (upgraded a few months ago from 700Mhz!), 758mb SD RAM, Gigabyte 71XE mobo, 250w generic case...
Well, My current system is nearing the end of it's life and after upgrades after upgrades I was thinking it would be better to just build a new system.
I have already started and have gotten myself the Coolermaster Cavalier 3 case with Window and an Enermax EG465AX-VE and some Sharkoon rounded...
Thanks for the suggestion Ronnie but having checked the price out they are almost twice as much as the Geils.
The Geils are £67 (~$118) where as the Ballistix are £123 (~$217)
BTW, how much would these RAM cost in the US?

Avalon, yes they are the Geil twin pack with blue HS...
I'm in the process of building a new PC to replace my ageing one.
I am pretty sure I'll be getting an Asrock 939 mobo and Athlon63 3200 (Winchester)
I had a look around for some RAM and came across Geil. Are these any good (stable and able to overclock for the future)
The Geils are...
Wow! Thanks - I never knew there's a dual GPU slot. I'll have a further look and will also need to see if it is available here in the UK too.
EDIT: Just read the review and it seems a fantastic board. It only costs about £45-£50 ($80-$90) here so is an absolute steal!
I am pretty set on getting an Athlon64 3000/3200 CPU. What ATX mobo would you recommend? It should be AGP preferably and have no less than 3 PCIs. I'm not really interested in overcloking at the mo, and just require a very stable machine for all round usage (from surfing to gaiming, etc)

Can I use the following CPU: Intel Mobile Pentium 4 - 2.66ghz (SL724)
in a desktop PC? If so what motherboard should I be looking at?
It seems this is a 478 PPGA (is it a socket 478?)
Many thanks
I am looking to upgrade my ageing system and recently began the process.
So far I have got myself an Enermax EG 465AX PSU and waiting for my Coolermaster Cavalier 3 case.
I have been looking at a new CPU and now have some suggestions.
