This is the error message i get when I look at the device manager.
I have replaced the driver.
I did see the drive on the windows compatible hardware list.
The device is: LG CD-RW...
Task Manager nor regedit will stay open for more than 3 seconds. I am running windows XP SP1 on a vaio laptop. I have just run trend micro's online virus scan nothing. I am worried the dent in the wall is going to be huge! From my banging my skull repeatedly against it.

I have managed to loose my passwords. My personal user account and the administrator account. I have seen instructions statiung that if I deelete the "sam" file @ %systemroot%\system32\config\sam. It would reset the pass is this true?

Might anyone know if it is a big NO NO to add drivers to a Windows 2000 ISO?
If not, might you know where to put them to be recognized during install?
