Note: I fixed the problem myself, sorry for the inconvenience I have an HP iPAQ, unknown model, and I'm trying to get it to speak to an IBM Thinkpad T30 laptop running XP Pro. I can get them both on the same wireless network, but the iPAQ can't ping or connect to the IP of the laptop...

A friend of mine is considering buying one, but she doesn't want to get it if it's loud. Would you say it's fairly quiet? (talking about general usage, not necessarily during optical drive access) TIA

Hmm... I am pretty big on image quality... The radeon isn't too horribly slow though, is it? I heard the T&L engine wasn't as mature as nVidia's...

Voodoo3's pretty much require the bios to have Assign IRQ for VGA enabled to work. Try removing everything but the video card and any USB devices, and add them in one by one. I'd try removing the sound card first, I have a Vortex2 and it shares an IRQ with my USB ports, causing my burner to lock...

What exactly are the advantages of the Radeon's 3 textures per something or other over the Geforce2's whatever it has? Does that mean it can just slap more textures over a model per clock cycle? What I'm really trying to say is I don't know which one I should get now that I know the texture...

ok, my hard drives are extremely loud :) How can I get them to be quieter while avoiding having them shut down every 2 minutes? I have to keep my case open to keep my computer cool, so the intensity is doubled over what it would be had I kept it closed.

oh yeah... sorry Well, here's a question about hardware: Can I open my speakers and overclock them so they put out more watts? :)
