what's better, this Tri-X 290X or the Vapor X 290 for $50 cheaper?

Which fans do you have? With the current single fan setup @ 4.3Ghz I max out at 54C running Prime95. Idle is about 28C.

I have a Coolermaster 212+ with the stock 120mm fan on my 2500-k. I'm thinking of replacing the stock fan with 2 new fans (any suggestions on good QUIET fans would be appreciated), and wondering how much difference it would make? Anyone notice much difference if you added a 2nd fan?

I have a Sabertooth and have had 0 issues with it. It comes with a 5 year warranty as well.

I bought the 128GB Corsair Nova refurb at microcenter for the same price. They allowed me to get the 2 year warranty for $20. It's been flawless so far.

In the winter it's been no more than 68F. Had our first warm day yesterday and it looked like temps went up slightly, but not too bad. I made 2 lines on the heatsink. First, I used a plastic card to fill in the gaps between the pipes, wiped off the excess, then put the 2 lines on.

I've used RealTemp for the most part. I idle around 25-27 C and max out at 51C @ 4.2Ghz on my 2500K with Hyper 212+ and AS5.

really strange how the offset can vary so much from chip to chip!

I had the P8P67 and I had some issues with the LAN connection. The Pro and up have Intel LAN whereas the vanilla has a realtek. It would randomly drop the connection and I would have to repair the connection for it to come back on line. Since moving to the sabertooth I've had no such issues...

Thats the problem with setting the voltage manually, it doesn't change at all when it idles/downclocks. If I use "offset" it does, but I haven't seen a real clear indication what offset actually means. I have it giving the desired result I want (1.2V), but I really have no idea how it does it...

Fellow SB'ers, which setting are you using to set your vcore? I found that if I used manual that when the cpu would clock down to 1600 mhz, the voltage did not go down with it. If i used offset, it would lower the voltage on idle. Some observations I've seen when using offset: If I set...
