To quote Anandtech's review: "You will not have to struggle with these P35 boards as many of you did with early P965."
With all due respect I'll take Anandtech's word for it... they are usually right.
Please show me where the X2 6000+ gets "blown away" in these benchmarks http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=2933&p=8
(by the way, maybe you aren't aware but since the price cuts, 5$ is about the price difference between the X2 6000+ and C2D E6600) As for my decison, it's quite simple...
Take a look at the LG L204WT. (299$ Canadian).
I've been using one for a few months now and it meets my needs (which are, mostly gaming and surfing the net) the monitor has a constrast ratio of 1:2000 and if i'm not wrong, that's very good for its class.
The only downside I have found for me...
Wait for the reviews of the 2900 XT I would say. The price of the Nvidia cards might go down a bit. If you can't wait 12 days then nevermind, but otherwise why not wait 2 more weeks it will make your decision much easier.
I am primarily using my PC for games.
LG L204WT vs NEC 90GX2?
Basically one is widescreen and the other is not... I can get the L204WT for 329.99$CAD or a Refurbished 90GX2 for 299$CAD.
Thanks in advance for anyone's input!
I was told by a friend who is well versed in Computer hardware to wait until at least june before building it, because of the whole AMD & ATI deal, amongst other things... do you agree that it would be a bad move to upgrade in early 2007?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Edit: Yes, this...
its supposed to have 3dfx technology in it
omg, Hidden Texture Removal anyone? if they get this in the nv30 it sure is gonna be revolutionary...
