abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

Finally have time to come back to this. Okay, I'm uploading a huge fine photo of the SCSI card. See if that can give some hint. I tried one of the "inernal" ports on the card as well with no luck. As for the second internal slot, the cable just wouldn't fit, too wide and hits a wall on the card.

    hdmi->vga adapter advice needed

I need to get a HDMI to VGA adapter. I just need XGA resolution. Should I buy a specific brand or are the generic ones good for this as well? Locally I can only find no-brand ones, but there are two types: with a 5v power input and with no power. Is there a difference between the two types...

abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

I won it in an auction. As for the topic itself, haven't touched the device since, very busy with other projects.

abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

I've only tried the external connector. As for the device, it's pretty ,well, stupid. All it does itself is show it is initialized by displaying a screen with the battery life of the projector lamp. That tells you you can now boot your PC. There's no screen, LED, anything to show if there is a...

abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

I understand now. Like DMX terminators. I don't recall getting any SCSI terminator type adapter. I'll look in the bios settings of the SCSI adapter (menu which you can boot to before Windows boots) if theres an option for that. If the issue is not with the terminator, is there something else...

abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

the PCI adapter and cables are fine. Latter has been tested both by me and the seller. my desktop PC was built in 2009. But why shouldn't I have been able to install software and driver from 2003? Has worked for other things, Windows backward compatability and all. That's also talking about my...

abandonware SCSI hologram display, need to connect to PC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWrdWOScCgQ Don't ask me where I got this, but it's an abandonware holographic display from early 2000s called "Perspecta 1.7" by a company which doesn't exist anymore. If you did some research then no, I didn't pay anywhere near the $30000 original price from...

Forum Nav: suggestion for fastest small size GPU needed

I've been thinking about this some more as the project has been on hold, and was wondering how well the latest AMD APUs perform in the 3d area? Maybe a smaller motherboard than a mini ITX could be used with just an APU, or just a miniITX with no dedicated GPU, that would help with the size...

sustainable read speed for SSD possible?

Thanks, but I'll pass. If you think I'm being ''uncivil'' towards you, then read the posts before replying next time. You make me repeat what I've said in the very first sentence of the very first post in this thread and ask questions instead yourself, that is filling up the thread with...

sustainable read speed for SSD possible?

Yeah, got quite a bit frustrated there myself and forgot to ask... USB adapters for SSDs, aside from the scenario which mikeymikec mentioned (other USB devices in use), will they manage these speeds as well? Are there good/bad adapters depending on the speed you need, or just the same ''pieces...

sustainable read speed for SSD possible?

At this point you have to define "consume". If you mean read from memory, it can, unless you have a hard drive instead of, well, SSD. Tested it. This is the very first sentence of the very first post here: Not that I'm saying it's a regular PC now. I'm just answering "PC" to your question on...

    motherboard and GPU upside down

The PCIE slot *is* going to face downwoards, but *not* the GPU as well, an extension cable is going to be used for connecting to the GPU. This is for integrating a PC in a complex device, but in a nutshell, this is how the bottom part of the device looks from the inside and why I decided to go...
