core temp just reads the cpu temps. and there all the same temps as in cpuid hardware monitor. i mean, my computer has been on for several hours now and didnt catch fire, so im guessing its a bugged out temp sensor or something in the motherboard north bridge (or some other place.) , unless...

it cant be disabled,,..because the only options in the BIOS is to use 1. AGP/Onboard 2. PCI...those are the only two options in there. and yes i have used driver cleaner pro to clean the drivers off.

yes. ive got the latest drivers from ATI, ive tried the latest chipset drivers, they just freeze the whole computer, i have the latest BIOS for my board. im using some chipset drivers that dont even support AGP..so i can use my card. basicly ATI screwed me....or my computer is gay.

i dont know what else to try...

k.. i got it to go back into 8X mode...but now its doing the freezing thing again..what should i do now. ive tried the latest chipset drivers. they freeze it up, im trying some older ones now..since my board is a little bit old. if you have ne suggestions that would be great.

nope...im in Santa Maria. but my BIOS settings are set to AGP/Onboard. the only other setting for that is PCI. its a store bought comp..so there arent many options to choose from.

i can but it just resets itself. i am in california on the central coast.
