I play a lot of 2D arcade and some PSX games on the PC and I notice when there's no V-Sync on it tears a lot to the point that it gives me a huge headache. It's all too noticeable on 2D RPGs when moving across the screen. Turning on V-Sync solves this problem, but it seems CSS doesn't like...
I use a LCD monitor so I turn Vsync to "Always on" with Radlinker (for good reason, it reduces a lot of tearing). In HL2 when Vsync is on there is a lot of mouse lag, so I want to turn it off for just that game. I'll deal with the tearing I guess. But there's a bit of a problem.
I tried a few...
Hmm now I think I don't want to get this monitor anymore after hearing problems with the backlighting. I'm hearing horror stories of people getting it replaced about 7 times... on the Dell forums one guy said there is a 1% chance you'll get a perfect one, not good.
Thanks, now I'm just another step closer to buying this monitor. But I also must ask how is the ghosting on this monitor? I am still stuck between getting this and the L90D+ because the Dell has the superior colors but the L90D+ obviously has the better response time. I play CSS on a 19" 25ms...
I know the Dell 2005FPW has a native resolution of 1680x1050 but I was wondering if it has the option to run games at 1280x1024 without stretching the image to fit the screen or does it simply do this by default? I can't run any games at 1680x1050 probably w/o killing fps ... but still don't...
Dunno if this is the right forum but oh well, :P
I just got a 19in LCD which I'll be setting dual monitors with the 17in CRT. I'll be using the LCD for everything EXCEPT gaming, the CRT will fulfill that role. I want it so that whenever I start a game it opens up on the CRT instead of the LCD...
I ordered on the 4th and finally got my free item which was SUPPOSED to be the fridge that I selected but they sent me the TV instead... anyone have that happen to them? And do I have the right get the fridge as I requested?
Anyone know if this will work with a PSP for playing videos? I found a cable that can connect these two here. If it does work, I think I'll get a PSP. :)
oops I didnt see there was a OS section, anywho I bought the Win XP home edition upgrade today, but I heard there were problems with the upgrade as opposed to the full version... is there any truth to this claim?
I have win 98 and Im looking to upgrade... which is overall better home edition or pro? I know Home Edition costs way less than pro, but I heard my friend said that Pro is more stable. I'm mainly looking to use my pc for gaming so I don't really care about any of the extra features... so which...
