I have been looking into the ground loop issue and I have a question.
My cable box is only a "two prong" power cord. Could this be where my ground loop is coming from?
I will check out the grounding issue and see if that will change anything.

Drum needs to be replaced after 30,000 copies so your TCO (Printer, drum and Toner) after 30,000 pages with the 1700 is 2.3 Cents a page
The 1100 after 30,000 copies is 3.8 cents a page...
