I dug through the manual a bit more and the SSI spec was detailed as the SSI EPS spec.....so good on that front :) I check with Seasonic on their SeaSonic S12 II SS-430GB 430W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 has only one 8-pin connector. Some motherboards require 2, the SuperMicro does not. thanks...

I called Antec asked if any of their power supplies were SSI compliant. They told me that all of their TP series supplies were compliant but could not tell me how that was specified in the literature or specs. Now I could not find any reference to SSI compliance in their manuals or materials...
