Anyone know of any motherboards other than the Comwell LV-670M for the Mobile Pentium 4-M? I have a 2.0 chip from a laptop with a fried board and would like to use it in a HTPC setup.

I'm a HUGE AMD fan, but there is no way I would pick Turion over Pentium M.

Congrats! I use Solidworks, and the Thinkpad "P" models are the only laptops certified by Solidworks other than the Dell Precision M series. I wish I could fit a T40p in my budget!

Toshiba and HP also do. I think I've exhausted my options, I think its comming down to one of the following: HP Compaq nc6000 HP Compaq nc4000 Dell Latitude D600 Dell Latitude x300 IBM Thinkpad T40 In reality I think the 2 HPs and Dell D600 are probably the ones I will end up...

Thinkpad T40p or T42p is what you need.

If I scratch my other requirements, does anyone know of any 13" Pentium M notebooks with TrackPoints?

Pentium M was released in March 2003.

I'm not wanting to buy new. I want something ~2 years old, first gen Pentium M devices.

We have nc6000s at work, I've used IBM T2x and 600 series extensivly in the past, and currently have an HP Omnibook 510. All are well built machines. I will probably pick up a nc6000 for myself once the fall semester starts, it definatly beats the T4x out on value, IBMs just don't drop in...

No better 12" than the Thinkpad X series.

I just got rid of my Omnibook 510 (similar to IBM X series.) A great little machine that I would recomend to anyone, battery life wasn't that great though. I would really like a 13" screen (maybe a 14" if I could find something in a 12"x9"x1.25") Must have trackpoint. No more than 5.5lbs...
