I am indeed having the same issue with the 270x. Screen drops very rapidly whenever the card is on 2D mode. Generally seems to be caused by switching windows or otherwise changing screen contents, doesn't seem to affect 3D graphics whatsoever. I'm a UK resident myself, not Korean so this...
