I know this sort of question is brought up often, and I have looked over several similar posts but most reference a smaller scale installation and I think the scale of what I'm doing in a home warrants a new post in case of newer technology, methodologies, or unique ideas from the other members...

All great information, thanks for the quick replies. I do have a few small followup questions though. The adapter that will "likely" come with the video cards, is it an active or a passive? And does it really matter which one I'll be using since my monitor will be using it's own DP interface...
