I have reinstalled windows xp on a new drive, and forgot to copy all my documents. Is there a way to get into my documents. Get access denied when I try.

Now I've tried clearing cmos and tried another cpu. Nothing helped :(

I've tried that too, in all directions. Even tried only the power-switch cable. None of it helped :(

I'm building a machine for a friend, but I cant get it to start. Its a asus a7n266-vm mb. When I plug in the cord, its a green light on the board, but nothing happens. I suspect in can be some jumpers that arent correctly set, but I've tried many combinations. Anyone got an idea whats wrong?

Then the kt266 isnt a option, as I want a stable system too. I'll probably try the kt333 then, from asus. Thx alot for your help :)

I'm wondering about the same thing, so I ask in here instead of making a new thread. Is it possible to run 166 fsb with a viakt266a mb? I thought of buying a xp 1600+, and run it at 166 fsb with 2700 ddr memory. Do I have to get a viakt333 mb to do it? Oh, forgot: And what about the SiS 745...

And btw, is it possible to run the 1.2 celeron with 133 fsb (1.6 ghz) on these mbs?

Thx alot Peter! I used the wrong cd-rom driver, that was the error. It worked perfectly with symcd.sys :)

What do I need to get a scsi cd-rom to work in dos? I have an old computer I need to reinstall windows on (98), but I cant read from the cd-rom in dos. I've tried to boot with a win 98 boot disk, and a few others found on bootdisk.com, but it doesnt work.

I have just installed windows XP, but I cant get my video card to function properly. I have a hercules gf2 gts card. When I try to run games with open GL, it wont run. I've tried to install the newest drivers from Nvidia, but it didn't help. Anyone know whats wrong? Please help:(
