Hi, I have a (very small) network of 3 pcs at home and I was wondering if you could set it up in a way that a program would use the resources of all computers in it.
In other words if I have a program that does its job in say 30 minutes running in my computer can I set up the network so that...
Hi,I have windows 98 SE installed and 384 MB of RAM however I run out of memory frequently...since there is plenty of memory in my PC it must have something to do with the way Win98 manages it...got any tips on improving that ? OR the name of some programs that would allow me to see how much...
I know there used to be a way to do that...on IRC for example I have used a program that tunnelled my http proxy so the programs using it were "tricked" as if it was a socks proxy... if you could tell me a program of that sort or a way to do that I would be very greatful...ty

I can pretty much disregard my ISP in all of this...first of all I don't see why they wouldn't allow me to ping ANYTHING but their gateway...since many programs can't work if they can't ping a server...and also this problem happened suddenly in the middle of the night...highly unlikely anyone...
From where?it was disabled in my network adapter's settings I enabled all the ICMP options from there but it didn't help...please someone tell me if there's something I should check about ping...like registry entries or something in windows services...format/reinstall is not an option right now :(
Hello,I am starting this thread beause of a nasty ping problem I have under Windows XP Home Edition.Well basically any ip that I ping except my gateway ( cable ISP ) returns the "Request timed out" error.
Now I know that ping is actually working because I can connect to some servers that need to...
Well windows 98 can't see the large partition if it's NTFS...thx for the link I'll try it...I may not need to installl 98 after all but if I do I must convert it to fat 32...
