Personaly, id go for the x2 3800+ for one main reason. Price. They sell for (used) about $220-$250 now. I just bought 2 new retail boxed ones for $240 and one for $250 shipped. I also saw one sell on ebay TODAY for $235 total shipped. So the question becomes, do you really need that much...

I used the flashrom to flashthe bios. I tried the ati flash utility, but it did not work out.

I bought the Connect 3d GTO, unlocked the pipes to 16, tweeked the memory with ati tool. Got 6605 on 3d mark 05. Not to bad for a sub 150.00 dollar vid card.

Thats why I bought it , I can spend the money on the 7800 card, sell the office 2003 basic for some money , and have myself a xps 600 for under like 1300.00
