**Official Xbox 360 Jasper Hunting Thread**

If there is anyone looking in Northern Virginia, I just picked up a Jasper PRO at the Pentagon City Best Buy: Team: FDOU Lot: 845X 11-03-2008 They also have Jasper Arcades, didn't check on any of the Elites. Lot numbers are all over the place though, I saw some as old as September...

Final Intel SFF gaming specs. How'd I do?

Yeah, I agree. Why bother upgrading all the other parts now when your gaming performance won't really improve proportional to the money you're putting in? I think you should just save the money and then get all the parts at once...it's likely some of them will have fallen in price by that point too.

    Acceptable Voltage For Q6600

You need to test for a lot longer than 2 hours before you can declare it stable for your purposes anyway.

Confused on Intels memory, speeds, FSB, DDR2 vs DDR3 aaaaaarrrghhhh!

Don't waste money on DDR2 1066 unless you're a heavy overclocker. And I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're not, at least not yet. And no board *requires* DDR2-1066, you can plug in DDR2-800 and it'll work just fine. That number refers to the dual channel speed of the RAM, so...

Should I RMA my Crucial memory?

Do you have to send the original packaging back? I threw it all away a while ago after cutting them up for the rebates...

Should I RMA my Crucial memory?

Oh yes, it quite readily fails Prime95, and usually quickly. Something's definitely rotten in the state of Denmark, but trying to narrow it down is a pain in the ass.

Should I RMA my Crucial memory?

Thanks for the responses, guys. Ram issues drive me f'ing crazy...they're so intermittent. Just die already and be done with it! Ugh.

Should I RMA my Crucial memory?

Hey all, so here's the deal. I have 4 x 1GB PC-6400 Crucial Ballistix Tracer memory. My system has been unstable and so I've spent the last week testing the sticks individually with Memtest 2.01, and I thought I found the culprit. The problem is, I can't get the stick to error again, even after...

F.E.A.R. Platinum $19.99 (48 Hour Madness) $2.59 Shipping for me

When you're not pissing your pants, this game is actually pretty boring. It's the same office building/industrial warehouse over and over and over again. Then again, I'm only about halfway through, but the lack of variety really makes it tough to pick up.

How are Palit video cards these days?

I bought a Palit card out of desperation when the 8800GT was more scarce, and in terms of build quality it's fine. But I think that's true of all the reference cards. Back when I bought it just a couple of months ago, their warranty policy was to send it back to Hong Kong, (unless you bought...

    WARM: 8800GTX $390 shipped AR

75-120 FPS at high/very high? I doubt it. Anandtech tested a triple SLI setup and it barely averaged 60 FPS on MEDIUM.

    Question about EVGA stepup program.

You mean if you manually overclock? I don't remember off-hand, but it shouldn't matter. If you OC with software, just rip the card out, and if you altered the bios, then just flash it back. It does have to have the stock cooler, though. The caveats are: -You have to do it within 90 days of...

7800gt to 8800gt: a bad upgrade in my opinion

By that logic, you'll never buy a new video card.

    8800GTS 512 In Stock 12/7 at eWiz

Now wait a minute, professor. If that Tweaktown article is going to be indicative of the whole run of cards, it doesn't look like it makes much of a difference...less than 3 degrees at stock speeds. http://www.tweaktown.com/artic...sound_tests/index.html

    8800GT Whining?

Ah, thank you. Mine is exactly the same, I only hear it during game startups (except strangely all the time while running Rthdribl), but doesn't really sound bad during the game. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't an indicator that something would fail soon, because obviously, my "warranty" is...
