    New iMacs

For people who want to use an SSD that doesn't report a sensible SMART temperature (which makes the HDD fan go crazy) I made a software fix: http://exirion.net/ssdfanctrl Let me know if it works for you :)

Anandtech's review of the 2011 iMac? Any idea when?

Maybe upgrading an iMac is not for the faint of heart, but it can be done pretty easily. I upgraded 2 iMac 24" systems with an SSD, replaced a harddisk in 1 iMac 24" and upgraded my iMac 2011 27" with a Vertex 3 MI SSD on the day I bought it. I'm more than happy I did it :D

    New iMacs

The Trackpad is great indeed. I use it with Smartscroll and for browsing it feels exactly the same as browing on my iPad. The Mac itself really flies with the Vertex 3 MI SSD. It's a great upgrade from my older iMac 24" with Vertex 2 SSD.

    New iMacs

It was a rumor spread by OWC but it turned out to be false. Last week I successfully replaced my primary disk with an SSD and it works perfectly well. Actually I'm the Dutch Dude they refer to over here...

    external hard drive

Sorry to hear that. Well, there could be others reasons for not enabling it. Avoiding that people try to install OSX on NTFS filesystems for instance ;) Not necessarily reliability issues.

    external hard drive

Actually you don't need to buy any additional software. Snow Leopard already has full NTFS support, but write support is disabled by default. You can enable it pretty easily: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=186460

    Airprint-compatible All-In-One?

I use the HP B110A/CN245A printer by HP. I wasn't aware of the Airprint feature when I bought it, but it works great with my iPad :)
