Rebel Alliance in Nature for R@H work!

R@H recently had a very significant finding published in Nature: Link to article Some users were picked out for running key simulations that led to the discovery. Congrats! Link to acknowledgements Edit: It looks like I have access to the full article by writing this from my...

    Rosetta@Home Outage

Not much I can add over what the website says. Apparently it's taking about 36 hours to recover each partition due to the sheer volume of data. They had a couple more to do as of Thursday so assuming they aren't waiting on hardware from the vendor I'd hope to see it back any time. -Ethan

    Congrats Rebel Alliance on R@H!

No prob. . I'm pretty sure the research paper is from work done in mid 2006, so there are probably more users involved than those that are currently crunching.

    Congrats Rebel Alliance on R@H!

Here's a post from Dr. Baker, leader of the Rosetta@home project. RA was listed as one of the 'users' that found a protein worthy of publication in a scientific article. Congrats! Yesterday I acknowledged the participants who found the low energy structures being reported in Rhiju's paper...

After talking in his journal about the current state of their HIV research: Link to Dr. Baker's journal ". . .As Hugo pointed out, we have not quite gotten the design methodology to the point we can run it on rosetta@home, but this should be coming in not too long as several people in my...

Rosetta@home: Lets welcome our newest member for September 27, 2005

Morning, My closest affiliation to the Baker lab is that both our paychecks come from the U of Washington :) Well, maybe a bit more than that since I've been by their lab a few times and given presentations with them (most recently to the ~100 floor advisors in our dorms in an attempt to get...

Howdy :) They could very well be problems with 4.77. . however, since it hasn't impacted the performance of any of my workstations (which I'm sure we have a few having the same problem), I haven't been contacted. My main thing to get across is that while there may be problems with work...

I'm the sys admin of Housing and Food Services. . we've been able to help R@H for a couple months now. Anywho, we run it on all 200 of our machines. . from computer labs to accounting and IT. They've ran Rosetta 24x7 (we told them not to turn off their machines) since August and we've yet to...
