Doom 2016 was such a breath of fresh air at the time... just a nicely polished modern fps with good pacing and level design. It's like they went out of their way since then to steer away from what made that one so great. Simple to pick up, mostly linear design with cool guns and a killer...

I still haven't been able to try it lol, Game Pass keeps making a bm on my computer. Oblivion remaster seems quite happy though, so go figure. If I have time tonight to fire it up on another machine I'll try and post my thoughts.

Eh I'll try it out... loved 2016, not so much for Eternal. The latter just felt like an absolute chore to play, always rushing around and doing arena-style battles. Get Unreal Tournament out of my dooms plzz k thx.

I didn't think I'd pick up a 7900XTX honestly, but the performance jump from the 6900XT was considerable enough for me to source one. Having said that, though, I couldn't tell you when the next GPU upgrade for me might be. Many contributing factors, none of them of the optimistic variety.

Oh i get it now, it's Blackwell because it's a deep dark 'black' well of pricing nonsense and possible GPU failures.
