    ecs k7s5a Tbird 1.2 @ 1.25 cheap ddr/sdram support wat else can u ask for setup was easy enuff, not many problems (cept when i keep pushing it too hard !) but if u want overclockin options FORGET IT! go for the leadtek sis 735 board or better still wait for the ECS k7s6A!

    IceGod, BamBam215 try this link, it has all the BIOS and utilities and most questions answered ocworkbench ECSk7s5a FAQ i think using a bootable floppy disk is the best and easiest way to flash the bios good luck!

    By connectin the L7 Bridges you're actually settin the chip to run on 1.85 the L1 bridges have got to do with the CLOCK Multiplier. Since the k7s5a does not allow you to change the clock multiplier, there are suggestions that by modifying the L1 bridges you can actually set the clock...

    novalogic88 hey u got the ECS K7S5A board too ? hahaha if you encounter any problems with bad floppy writes then mebbe u need to download the correct BIOS, I'm using the overclockers BIOS 010911 and it has an option to fix the bad floppy write problem in BIOS. if u r thinkin of overclockin...

    You can find out the name of your motherboard when u turn ur PC on... when it's doing the memory test thingy look at the first few lines above it ... you've got a cel 500? how about overclockin it? depending on whether your motherboard will support the newer processors, here's my take at it ...

    if u really want to , make sure u get a 900 celeron, they're the new stepping ones and 'should' overclock well... check out the stepping codes at the intel website!

    mebbe more Ram would do ya good or consider a new processor, slotkey combo .. dats what Im gonna do as soon as I find the $$$ got a celery400 @450 ... gettin an asus slotkey and a celery 900 ( i hear they hit 1ghz easy!)

    I have to agree with you, been delaying a soundcard upgrade for ages.. I was still using an SBAWE32 (full lenght ISA card) the SBlive experience blew me away... wonder how a gametheatre XP would feel like tho :)
