I decided on a GF4 Ti4200. I found a good one for a good price, but I can't find any information on the card anywhere. Anyone ever heard of a GF4 Ti4200 64MB by MSI with model number MS-8879-040? It's not even listed on the MSI discontinued/archived pages...
Would someone mind reviewing the following benchmarks and tell me what they think (they're near the bottom, you have to scroll past a lot of video card pictures...)?

They benchmarked 63 video cards on an Asus P2B. I had decided on a...
I'm looking for recommendations for a video card upgrade. My budget is ~$100, so let me tell you basically what type of performance I'm looking for and what I am currently considering.
Current system:
Asus P2B w/ Celeron 1Ghz (slocket)
768MB RAM
Viper V550 (TNT)
I enjoy games, but would not...
I purchased Grim Fandango a couple of years ago when it hit the bargain bin. Embarrassingly enough, I have never played the game since I have had it. I decided I wanted to finally install it the other day and this is what I found:
Disc B - Front
Disc B - Back
I checked the files and...
Someone on another board has recommended the Mad Dog Raptor Ti4200 for the same price ($80 after $60 in rebates). This card would definitely be overkill for my system (Asus P2B r1.10 w/ Celeron 1Ghz and 768MB RAM). Is it worth it to 'future-proof' a little and run this card in my current rig...
I can get both cards for the same price (~$85). Which one do you guys recommend and why? Anything better than these would be overkill...I'm upgrading a Asus P2B w/ 1Ghz Celeron and 768MB PC100 RAM. Please post your reason for choosing one over the other. Otherwise, I'll have to assume you are...
I've been doing some research on Google Groups about GF3/GF4 or Radeon and P2B combos. Most of the messages mention slower computers not being able to keep up with the newest cards and creating a bottleneck. As stated earlier, my P2B rig has a Celeron 1Ghz (S370-DL slocket) and 768MB RAM...
Which nVidia manufacturers are recommended? That are still around?
A couple of years ago I would have gone with VisionTek. Now I'm looking at PNY, MSI, Gainward, or Leadtek.
What does a GF3 Ti200 have over a regular GF3? The specs seem to indicate the GF3 Ti200 is slower than the GF3. I thought the Titaniums were better versions of the original GPUs.
Having said that, I also want something that will do a respectable job of playing the latest and greatest games. You know...just in case.
Class is over for now, so I'll have to check back in tonight. Thanks for the replies so far.
Well, I'm not settled on a Ti200+, it was just the card type I was considering. I'll look into the GF256. I'll probably go with a Ti200+ if they are not that much more expensive. I'm in a training class right now and do not have too much time to check prices...I'll have to check at home tonight.
